GQA Level 3 Diploma in Inspection of Fire Resistant Doorsets

This qualification is aimed at individuals wishing to prove they have the level and range of knowledge and skills to be able to prepare for and carry out inspections of different types of fire resistant doorsets. This qualification is at Level 3, although some units may be at different levels and should be taken by those who are fully trained to deal with a range of tasks and situations associated with the inspection of fire resistant doorsets. This will include preparing to carry out the inspection, carrying out the inspection and preparing a report on the outcome of the inspection. The candidate will also need to demonstrate knowledge of health and safety requirements, recognising different types of fire resistant doorsets, awareness of the different components and materials found in fire resistant doorsets, how to deal with potential conflicts with a range of people, effective communication and how to plan and undertake Continuous Professional Development. The candidate will need to be able to carry out all of the activities in line with current legislation relating to the inspection of fire resistant doorsets
